The Department of lnformation and Communications Engineering is offering a summer jobs in the research group:

5G mmWave coverage and performance test (position 1)

5G mmWave coverage and performance test. The objective is to do several test runs to measure the coverage and uplink/downlink performance of the 5G Aalto network across the campus. The student will be provisioned with measurement device and should collect and process the data to create a coverage map.

Update and deploy monitoring system for 5G network both cmWave and mmWave (position 2)

Update and deploy monitoring system for 5G network both cmWave and mmWave. There is a platform already that collects signal and measurements from devices connected to the cmWave and now has to be extended to include mmWave network.

The knowledge needed in both positions are:

• C, Go or Python programming
• Linux networking
• Radio communications is a plus
