Summer Internship and Master's thesis in a research project

If you are looking for a summer internship or MSc thesis topic in large research group supervised by experienced researchers for machine learning in speech and language processing, here is your change. We are now looking for a couple of researchers and interns to be included in the ASR group at Department of Information and Communications Engineering at Aalto University related to our research projects, e.g.:

• Automatic speech recognition and language modeling for spontaneous speech and broadcasting
• Automatic speaking assessment and feedback for foreign language learners
• Combining speech and other audible and visual events into a video-to-text description

All projects apply and adapt ASR into different real-world data and we look for talented and hard-working students who have knowledge of speech and language processing and machine learning. All programming skills are also valuable. The topic and content of the work can be adjusted according to the candidate's interests and skills.
