Do you want to be part of the globally unique iCAN Digital Precision Cancer Medicine project?

The iCAN Digital Precision Cancer Medicine flagship is a public-private partnership hosted by the University of Helsinki and HUS Helsinki University Hospital within the Academy of Finland flagship program.
We are currently seeking a Scientific Coordinator for the iCAN flagship. The Scientific Coordinator works with the > 200-member group of researchers and clinicians and as a member of the iCAN admin team to lead and coordinate scientific activities within the flagship.

The tasks include e.g. coordinating and participating in scientific activities broadly from molecular profiling to big data analysis, tracking progress, and facilitating new ideas into collaborative projects.
The optimal candidate has a suitable scientific background in translational/clinical cancer research and demonstrated skills in planning, organizing, and coordinating complex projects. Good communication and collaboration skills and a detail-oriented and analytical approach to problem-solving are appreciated. Essential qualifications include a PhD / MD degree or extensive prior experience in relevant research area. Strong written and oral English skills are required. Finnish language skills are not mandatory but considered beneficial.

The appointment will be on a fixed-term basis until the end of 2025. The starting date is negotiable, but we hope the appointee will take up the position in March 2023. The position is full-time or part-time (minimum 50%).
