Do you want to be the next Research Trainee in Collaborative Systems?

The data revolution is in full swing and the future depends on the federation of data spaces and ensuring data sovereignty. In the Collaborative Systems team in Oulu, we are developing technologies for these evolving data sharing platforms and ecosystems.

What would your responsibilities include?

In the context of the GAIA-X (Federated Data Infrastructure for Europe) undertaking and its core technology IDS (International Data Spaces) we are looking for a talented programmer to strengthen our team in implementing software platform components (e.g. connectors and broker). The components are utilised in a variety of commercial and research projects.

The main responsibilities in this position will be:

  • Research and development of data sharing solutions
  • Implementation of components for federated data platforms
  • Deployment support for users in selected research projects

Who we are looking for?

To succeed in the position, you have following background and skills:

  • Good skills in programming (Java and JavaScript)
  • Experience with virtualisation (Docker) and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge on ontologies is a plus
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills

You are open-minded and solution-oriented with good collaboration skills. With your good communication skills, you master the cooperation with our international project partners. Your willingness to learn new things will ensure your ability to apply state-of-the-art technology in your work.
