We are now looking for Research Scientist to join our Industrial Circular Economy team.

As a research scientist, your key goals are working with environmental and circular impacts assessment for manufacturing and materials solutions, example for batteries and electrification. In this position, you will have an essential role in selected research projects to assess life cycle impacts of the processes and products, and later grow as expert in circular design.

Our team, Industrial Circular Economy, is working with environmental, economic and material related aspects of circular solutions. We work example with lifetime extension strategies, material recycling and waste.

As Research Scientist, life cycle assessment you will: 

  • With us, you are assessing environmental and circularity impacts, and working with customers in the Finnish battery value chain, process industry and manufacturing industry.
  • Also dynamic modelling of material flows and environmental impacts will be later your responsibilities.
  • You will also develop computational eco-design modelling as a research topic with us.

Who we are looking for:
  • We are looking you to have few years experience (from studies and/or work) in life cycle assessment (materials, process industry or manufacturing industry) and good mathematical and computational skills
  • Knowledge of materials or chemistry or manufacturing is preferential.
  • We are looking for person with Master’s Degree in materials or environmental engineering or related technical field
  • Good English writing and digital skills are expected. Most of the work in near future is in national scale, so Finnish skills, as a spoken and written, is preferential.
