Electronic Circuit Design unit at the School of Electrical Engineering at Aalto University is looking for a
POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER / RESEARCH FELLOW FOR RESEARCH AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT IN INTEGRATED CIRCUIT (IC) DESIGN

Job Description
In this position, you will act as a senior researcher contributing to integrated electronic circuit design research projects. You´ll have an opportunity to work on various research topics related to our research portfolio and you will participate on guiding our M.Sc. and Ph.D. students.

Our research is closely tied to circuit design challenges faced by the IC industry, to which we provide solutions in context of industry-funded design projects. Our research covers digital electronics including e.g. Risc-V development, analog and mixed-mode designs, and RF and millimeter-wave circuits for communication and sensing. We mainly focus on CMOS technology, and we expect you to have such experience.

Your Background
You have a doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering. Your background can be in any field of integrated circuit design, but we expect you to be open-minded and willing to learn more. In this position you need to have strong hands-on experience in integrated circuit design and tools (simulations, layout, measurements and Unix operating system working environment). We seek a person with experience on the IC design cycle: circuit design - IC layout & tapeout - measurements - publications. Please document these activities in your application. Note that only persons with this background are eligible to apply.

Research Group
Electronic Circuit Design | Aalto University is recognized as one of the best in Europe. Research of RF, analog, and digital integrated circuits has been carried out in the Electronic Circuit Design unit already over three decades and we have a strong network of collaborators and funding. The Electronic Circuit Design group of the department has three Professors (Jussi Ryynänen, Martin Andraud and Kari Halonen), 2 senior researchers and about 20 Doctoral Candidates and Research Assistants working in world-class research facilities. Researchers of the unit have received several awards in highly recognized international conferences. The ECD unit is part of the Department of Electronics and Nanoengineering | Aalto University at the School of Electrical Engineering | Aalto University at Aalto University, Finland.

Salary and Contract Terms
Postdoctoral Researcher or Research Fellow position will be filled for 2-3 years. The expected starting salary for a Postdoctoral Researcher is approximately 3700 €/month and for a Research Fellow approximately 4000 €/month, both depending on experience and qualifications.
