Postdoctoral Researcher in IN VIVO Rodent Electrophysiology

Updated: about 1 year ago
Deadline: 10 Apr 2023

The University of Helsinki, founded in 1640, is one of the world’s leading universities for multidisciplinary research. The university has an international academic community of 40,000 students and staff members. Neuroscience Center in the Helsinki Institute of Life Science (HILIFE) is an independent research organization. Research in Neuroscience Center spans scales from molecular and cellular neuroscience to developmental, cognitive, and systems neuroscience. The research group of Satu Palva at the Neuroscience Center, Helsinki Institute of Life Science invite applications for

POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER IN IN VIVO RODENT ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY

The position is available for 2 + 1 years starting immediately. The postdoctoral researcher will leverage in vivo electrophysiology in awake behaving mice to study oscillations and brain network interactions in visual cognition and in brain disease models.

The Satu Palva group is a multidisciplinary research group investigating the large-scale architecture of brain dynamics, with oscillations, synchronization, and criticality being central themes. The research is mostly carried out in humans, but involves also electrophysiological and imaging data acquired in mice.
