Hanken School of Economics invites applications for a position as Post-doctoral researcher in Economics

The position is in Helsinki at the Department of Finance and Economics. Candidates in all fields of Economics are considered, but preference is given to candidates who specialize in banking and financial intermediation. We also welcome applications from candidates with demonstrated research expertise in behavioral and experimental economics, industrial economics (especially in competition economics), and more generally in applied microeconomics. The duration of the contract is until the end of 2024, starting date negotiable & any time during 2022 according to candidate’s preference.

The Economics unit is jointly located with the economics departments of the University of Helsinki, Aalto University School of Business, and VATT Institute of Economic Research under the umbrella of Helsinki Graduate School of Economics (GSE) with 30 professors and altogether about 100 researchers in Economics. Helsinki GSE organizes graduate teaching and seminar series for its participating units, making the Helsinki GSE community the center of academic economic research in Finland. Helsinki GSE has grown rapidly during the last couple of years.
