until the end of year 2025 in the Taipale lab Medical system biology .

About the position

The tasks of the job include maintaining the lab equipment, lab ordering and supporting the lab colleagues in logistics and ideally experimental work. The lab is embedded in the ATG research program of the Medical School in the University of Helsinki located at the Biomedicum 1 (Meilahti Campus) and within a very diverse, dynamic and international environment.

Candidates trained in the Life Sciences program and with previous lab experience are very encouraged to apply.


The chosen applicant is expected to reside in Finland while employed by the University of Helsinki.

What we offer

The salary is based on the job requirement scheme for specialist and support staff according to the salary system of the Finnish universities. In addition, the appointee will be paid a personal salary component. In total, the starting gross salary of a laboratory technician is typically around 2800-2900 EUR per month. The starting date is negotiable, but we hope the appointee will be able to take up the position latest in May 2024.
