Doctoral Researchers 

for the Doctoral programme of Administrative Sciences, Business Sciences and Politics.

Job description

  • Doctoral researchers enrolled in the doctoral programme of sdministrative sciences, business sciences and politics at the Faculty of Management and Business of the Tampere University pursue a doctoral degree.

  • Tasks include not only writing doctoral thesis but also participation in teaching activities and other defined tasks.

Requirements

Applicants for these positions must have a Master's degree or the equivalent from a university. Successful candidates must also be pursuing a doctoral degree in the doctoral programme of administrative sciences, business sciences and politics and present an approved study and research plan.

Candidates are selected based on the level of promise that they show, and this will be evaluated on the basis of their study and research plans, their previous success in studies and merits in doing the doctoral thesis and / or scientific publishing. Priority will be given to applicants who have not received full-time funding for four years before the end of the application period. In addition, evidence of the progress and / or scientific publication of a thesis is beneficial. The duration of employment is defined on the basis of the research phase.

The position will be filled for the maximum of four years.

The salary will be based on both the job demands and the employee's personal performance in accordance with the University Salary System. The position of Doctoral Researcher is placed on the job demand level between 2-4 (the demand level chart for the teaching and research staff). In addition, employees will receive performance-based salary.
