We are looking for an IT Customer Relationship Manager to Aalto University

Your role

In this role, you will work as the strategic interface between Aalto IT service unit and School of Electrical Engineering, School of Science, and innovation and startup areas for the purpose of relationship management, marketing, IT development and service management.

You will serve as a link between the Aalto IT service unit and researchers, students, and teachers and collaborate with school’s technical persons and Aalto management.

You will participate in decision-making, priority setting and proactively serve as a “trusted advisor,” and function as a key point of contact for schools and innovation and startup management.

What we are looking for

You are customer relations-oriented, you can nurture the relationships and go the extra mile to foster the digital environment that values our academic community. You can identify areas for the customer experience improvements and help to resolve congruent and reliable issues. You can focus on high impact areas, ask smart questions and capture value potentials, major issues and communication/marketing possibilities. You understand relationships as a managed strategic and tactical asset, and you are familiar with strategies, techniques, tools for working with customers.

In order to succeed, we appreciate if you have:

  • Working experience with customers with a proven ability to deliver results.
  • Master/Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage competing customer demands.
  • Good presentation skills, comfortable in front of 5 – 100 people
  • Flexible, open-minded, and collaborative attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and learn.

In addition, we appreciate technical capabilities of

  • Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, and JIRA

It is advantage if you

  • Understand business requirements, research and/or innovation information processes.
  • Have proven track record of taking ownership and effectively managing IT solutions & projects.
  • Have experience within an IT or/and education environment.

We are a diverse community from multiple cultural backgrounds. In order to work efficiently in our international environment, you need good social and cooperation skills. You can communicate smoothly in English. Finnish skills are an advantage.

The responsibilities of the position require problem-solving skills and conceptual thinking and working in responsible manner.
