You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications initiatives for each of these entities, together with our collaborators (see below). The scope of the communications may vary depending on the entity, but the main communications should support the visibility of research, education, and innovation activities in international and national media outlets.

In this role you get to create, edit and produce holistic content, in particular press releases, news articles, website development, social media, and other relevant digital platforms such as e-newsletters.

  • A degree in an applicable field (e.g. natural sciences, engineering, communications, marketing)

  • Strong ability to form overviews

  • Fluency with various communications channels and social media

  • Interest towards (quantum) physics, natural sciences and technology

We are looking for someone with good interpersonal skills and who is self-directed, active and development oriented. You also tolerate routine duties.

Photography and video editing skills, as well as other visual expertise (such as InDesign and Adobe-CC) are considered an asset.

What do we offer?

You will become a part of an inspired and diverse academic community where your input is highly valued, and you get to learn something new every day - at the very least about the exciting world of physics!

We are an internationally oriented community and home to world-class research and teaching. The department is known for long-term, high-quality and innovative research carried out in cooperation with the world's leading research groups.

We offer many benefits, like flexible working times, a wide range of staff training opportunities and a possibility for partial remote working also after Covid restrictions. We are located in the Otaniemi campus of Aalto University in Espoo, with a metro station and a shopping center in our campus area.
