Job Description

You will work as an integral part of the research institute, overseeing the research operations, as well as taking on a range of administrative duties, including but not limited to, research facility management, safety, budgeting and procurement matters and carrying out specific projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the senior management, conduct overall laboratory planning, management, laboratory safety and security and regulatory compliance
• Ensure smooth laboratory operations, liaise with finance department and PIs for timely procurement of core equipment and relevant research supplies
• Oversee maintenance and repairs of common shared research equipment and facilities as well as oversee maintenance vendors
• Organize and provide training to staff, students and users of the lab as needed
• Develop safety objectives and conduct management review on safety with the senior management.
• Develop and implement a management system for equipment under the responsibility of the institute
• Other ad hoc duties which may be assigned

Qualifications

• At least a Master’s Degree in life sciences, engineering or their equivalent from a reputable university
• Have at least three years’ working experience in laboratory management
• Able to communicate well and convey information clearly
• A good team player
• Inquisitive and have initiative in exploring new technology
• Ability to speak and write well in English
