Job Description

The successful candidate will work with A/P Han Vinh Huynh on the preparation and characterization of organic, inorganic and organometallic compounds under the project “Selective deposition and precursor synthesis” in collaboration with Applied Materials.

The main responsibilities of the position include preparation and characterization of novel low-molecular weight metal complexes as suitable precursors for chemical vapour deposition (CVD) and atomic layer deposition (ALD). In addition, s/he will assist the PI in overseeing daily operations and maintenance of the lab as well as training junior lab members.

We seek a highly-driven and motivated postdoctoral fellow with strong expertise in the preparation and characterization of organometallic compounds. Among others, she or he will be responsible for the preparation and characterization of novel low-molecular weight metal complexes as suitable precursors for chemical vapour deposition (CVD) and atomic layer deposition (ALD). In addition, s/he will assist the PI in overseeing daily operations of the lab and training junior lab members.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications / Discipline:  Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Organometallic and Coordination Chemistry
  • Skills: Synthetic skills in organic, inorganic and organometallic chemistry
  • Experience:  The candidate must hold (or be close to conferment of) an internationally recognized Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Organometallic and Coordination Chemistry and have a proven, strong track record in experimental research.

The position is available immediately, and the candidate will be offered a 1-year contract with possible extension depending on research performance.
