The MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development is an interdisciplinary research institute of Western Sydney. The vision for the Institute is to optimise human interaction and wellbeing across the lifespan. To strive to solve the problems that matter most through the themes: sensing and perceiving, interacting with each other, and technologies for humans. Researchers in MARCS come from many disciplines including cognitive science, developmental psychology, language science, music science, cognitive neuroscience, and biomedical, electrical, electronic and software engineering.

The Institute is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the Brain Sciences research program in the MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development. In this position you will work with Dr Celia Harris and Professor Kate Stevens on a program that addresses novel technologies that can be used to support memory, cognition, identity and daily functioning in people living with dementia and their carers. The broad aim is conduct interviews and technology demonstrations with people living with dementia and their carers, to determine what kinds of technologies are most useful and valued.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 1 year. Initially the position will be located on the Bankstown Campus and move to Westmead early 2022.

Remuneration Package: Academic Level A $98,712 to $119,260 p.a., (comprising Salary of $83,413 to $100,776 p.a., plus 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading).
