Seeking an experienced Researcher in genomics, bioinformatics and Genome Wide Association Study (GWAS) methodology.
The successful applicant will responsible for mapping the genetic architectures of cognitive functioning in the UK BioBank by conducting a novel multivariate GWAS. The person in this position will define new biology-informed dimensions of cognition using data from the UK Biobank which is the worlds largest and most comprehensive biomedical database.
To be successful you will need:
- Completion of a PhD or near completion or equivalent experience in genomics, bioinformatics and GWAS methodology.
- Demonstrated high quality research including national and international publications and presentations.
- A track record of peer reviewed research based publications in areas directly related to genomics, bioinformatics and GWAS methodology.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Competency in the use of computer software such as R, Matlab, Python or equivalent for bioinformatics analysis.
