Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in astrophysics or a closely related discipline.
Candidates with a background in galaxy formation and evolution, galactic structure, large-scale structure of the Universe, galaxy surveys or machine learning applications are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be able to conduct his or her own research as well as participate in the current research of Tartu Observatory and in the national and European funding schemes. The applicant is encouraged to apply for MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships during the first year. Applications received by April 12, 2024 will receive full consideration; the call is open until the positions are filled. Applications should contain the following: a cover letter motivating your application, a Curriculum Vitae including a list of (selected) publications and a letter of motivation describing your research experience and interests. Please also provide contact information for two individuals willing to provide a reference letter upon request. Note that we will request such letters only for a subset of applicants after an initial selection step. Applications should be sent in a single PDF file (max 5 pages in total) to [email protected] .
