Duties and responsibilities
  • Lecturing and conducting seminars in the area of Information Systems.
  • Supervising PhD students and Master’s and Bachelor’s theses by students.
  • Conducting research in the area of information systems at the international level.
  • Participation in the work of the university’s decision-making bodies is recommended.
  • Engaging in science outreach activities.

Required qualifications
PhD or an equivalent qualification.

Required experience


  • Candidates must have successful teaching experience in an institution of higher education at the Bachelor’s and/or Master’s levels. Evidence of teaching experience in the area of information systems must be provided.
  • Research experience and publications in the area of information systems are required.
  • A track record of at least five publications in highly reputable venues in the area of information systems is required.
  • Experience in supervising students is desirable.

Required language skills
Excellent command of the English language is required. Estonian is recommended but not required.

  • Additional information

    Salary from 3000 euros (gross) per month depending on work experience and qualifications.

    The total annual payroll is starting from 50 000 euros, which includes taxes by the employer.

    According to the Language Act, academic staff with foreign citizenship working in Estonia must have acquired at least B1-level Estonian language skills after five years of work. The Centre for Professional Development offers foreigners and their family members the opportunity to participate in Estonian language courses.
