Senior Specialist, Programs Implementation, Trade Finance in Africa Certificate Program, Executive Education Unit, School of Business, Grant position

Reports to: Manager, Grants and government programs

Purpose: The job holder will ensure the successful implementation of the African Regional Trade program and meeting the targets of the business plan.

Responsibilities:

Planning and Programs Implementation

  • Supervise the day to day Implementation of handled account including all academic, logistical and financial aspects
  • Support the direct supervisor in understanding the new needs of the existing client to develop new tailored programs
  • Assist in the recruiting of the facilitators
  • Responsible for preparing all HR documents
  • Supervise the performance of facilitators and account coordinators in order to meet the program’s objectives and participants’ expectations
  • Follow up on instructors’ performance and evaluations and produce monthly report to the manager
  • Manage complaints and report them instantly
  • Monitor the actual performance against the qualitative and quantitative business plan for the program
  • Attend a minimum of one class per course per instructor
  • Prepare all the required reports in relation to the program
  • Participate in widening the pool of Instructors
  • Education Development
  • Assist in maintaining different accreditations and comply with their standards
  • Maintain records in accordance with the American University in Cairo’s (AUC) policies
  • Produce Executive Education (ExecEd) documentation.
  • Adhere to ExecEd quality standards, policies and procedures
  • Participate in assignments related to general AUC wide projects

Reporting

  • Produce monthly reports on all activities versus the business plan
  • Produce ad-hoc reports as requested by management
  • Participate and perform any other duties and projects as assigned by management

Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, mass communication, or any related fields
  • Postgraduate studies specialized in Human Resource Development discipline such as professional certificates, diploma is an asset.

Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience in related filed.

Skills:

  • Language skills: Fluent English both oral and written
  • IT skills: Excellent Microsoft Office and Internet Research
  • Soft skills: Strong leadership skills, business development skills, communication, presentation, negotiation and problem-solving skills, report writing skills, and ability to perform under stress
