Senior Specialist, ExecEd Process Automation (School of Business – Executive Education)- Tahrir Campus
Reports to: Manager, Internal Processes and Accreditation
Purpose: The job holder plays a main role in moving Executive Education teams toward efficiency, productivity, and profitability. This position analyzes current business processes, validates requirements, and delivers data-driven recommendations for business processes, information systems, policies and procedures.
This position acts as a liaison to bridge the gap between IT and Executive Education teams to ensure the maximum utilization of The American University in Cairo (AUC) systems and resources and facilitate integration with technology.
Responsibilities
Improving processes and increasing efficiency
- Evaluate business processes across different Executive Education units, identifying requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions
- Serve as thought leader for technical business processes
- Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies
- Stay up-to-date on the latest IT advancements to automate and modernize processes
- Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional teams and management
Act as a facilitator and mediator between Executive Education and AUC IT team
- Evaluate the AUC IT systems and resources provided by the University and assess how Executive Education can maximize the benefit from them
- Develop and implement a plan to train staff on AUC systems
- Assess the needs of Executive Education units and recommend the suitable automated solutions
- Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and availability of resources
- Communicate with the IT team and share ideas and findings
- Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements
- Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects
Updating Policy and Procedure Manuals
- Assist in creating and documenting standard operating procedures for Executive Education business processes
- Help in conducting necessary meetings with Executive Education staff to document procedures and align cross-functional units
Executive Education Development
- Adhere to AUC and Executive Education quality standards, policies and procedures
- Participate in assignments related to general AUC wide projects
- Produce required documentation
- Maintain records in accordance with the AUC policies
Reporting
- Produce a monthly report on all activities
- Produce other reports as requested by management
Requirements:
Minimum Education Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, or related field
Experience·
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis
- Experience in creating detailed reports and managing projects
- A track record in following through on commitments
Skills
- Good understanding of information technology. Strong technical knowledge is a plus
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Capacity to lead change and drive others to achieve goals
- Passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change
- Excellent planning, organizational and documentation skills
- Fluent English both oral and written
