Reports to Director, Business Solutions Unit

Purpose: The job holder is responsible for leading sales teams towards achieving set targets. hiring and training team members, setting quotas, evaluating and adjusting performance, and developing processes that drive sales. He/she will also manage sales operations ensuring sales teams are running as efficiently and productively as possible. The role also includes a healthy amount of data tracking and analysis to provide stakeholders with recommendations and insights to improve performance. As a member of the business solutions team, he/she plays a major role in securing substantial new revenues.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain client relations across relevant sectors and companies
  • Continuously enhance own knowledge of offerings and value proposition
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to acquire new customers or clients, and proactively pursue new business and sales opportunities
  • Propose innovative and tailored sales solutions relevant to customer needs and requirements
  • Develop effective sales plans in line with executive education business plan, and catering for open enrollment nominations as well as business solutions
  • Work with the senior management team to set revenue and sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis
  • Manage Executive Education (ExecEd) portfolio of major accounts
  • Identify and cultivate major accounts, recommend and implement cultivation and solicitation strategies for prospective companies and organizations
  • Overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team
  • Promoting executive education image in all interactions
  • Ensure smooth sales operations and effective sales management
  • Use data-driven reports to spur team coaching sessions and empower sales team to take ownership of their opportunity pipelines
  • Track sales team metrics and share with leadership
  • Analyze sales data on sales results and develop plans to address performance gaps
  • Effectively monitor competition, economic indicators, and industry trends
  • Maintain a deep understanding of client needs and monitor their preferences
  • Resolve escalated customer issues and customer complaints regarding sales
  • Provide advanced negotiation expertise
  • Deliver deep performance reviews for sales reps
  • Participate in spontaneous sales call rides and planned field days
  • Ensure that the sales team/reps use available sales technologies effectively
  • Lead the sales team by providing guidance and mentorship
  • Plan and implement sales team training programs
  • Hold regular skills training sessions with internal or external sales trainers
  • Follow organizational policies and regulations
  • Produce other ad-hoc reports requested by management
  • Ensures effective and efficient implementation of all logistical, legal and financial aspects in compliance with policies and procedures
  • Adheres to quality standards
  • Performs any other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related fields
  • MBA is preferred

Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years of previous experience including 5 years of relevant corporate experience
