Senior Officer, Business Analysis and Delivery

Reports to: Manager, Innovation and Transformation

Purpose: The job holder is responsible for building, maintaining customer journeys, stakeholder maps and all related operations and documentations in cooperation with business stakeholders and IT leaders. Also, specific projects reside within the responsibility of the job holder such as navigation operations, AUC conference operations, cashless (AUC Coin) operations and others from a digitation perspective in alignment with relevant stakeholders with a profound customer centric, program manager approach. In addition, the job holder is responsible for managing the operations of high-priority digitization projects necessary for transformation assigned by the VPDT in collaboration with the Innovation and transformation manager and Chief Technology Officer.

Business analysis and requirements gathering:

  • Identifying and mapping business strengths, weaknesses and potential improvement opportunities
  • Meeting with different stakeholders to gather their requirements and understand their needs to encounter it within the improvement process
  • Performing benchmarking activities to discover best performance and achieve competitive advantage
  • Having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition
  • Assisting in problem definition activities by conducting Interviews, focus groups, surveys and generating necessary statistics from student, faculty and staff
  • Following higher education industry trends in assessing performance indicators and impact of communication plans
  • Keeping abreast of new trends and best practices in the technology landscape

Stakeholders engagement:

  • Identifying key stakeholders and prospective clients
  • Handle communication between internal teams and external vendors and make sure technical discussions are run smoothly
  • Communicating with key user and operational groups to understand business needs
  • Increase adoption of products by marketing for the tools and increasing users’ awareness
  • Handle the trainings needed to align stakeholders and end users on how to use the administrative tools needed to manage the products operations
  • Responsible for the on-ground activations with the users to make sure that the operations are run smooth
  • Design and implement orientation sessions to increase user’s awareness and knowledge about the projects

Projects execution and delivery:

  • Responsible for the delivery of campus transformation technical solutions, implementation of large enhancements and change initiatives within a specified time frame while achieving efficiency
  • Develop and execute end to end customers journey path analysis based on journey definition
  • Monitoring project risks to foresee potential problems and proactively identify solutions to address in advance
  • Responsible for quality of solutions delivered, ensuring that appropriate development standards are maintained and followed
  • Ensuring that campus transformation technology solutions are fit-for-purpose and aligned with architectural principles, standards and roadmaps
  • Leading transition of solutions from outsource partner to the internal stakeholders and into live service, where applicable
  • Supporting the launch of new features to market with engagement campaigns
  • Monitor tools performance and create bimonthly reports about the usage and adoption
  • Troubleshoot user issues with the help of external vendors
  • Continuously testing features prior to going live to identify any needed enhancements/fixes to be reported back to vendors if needed
  • Develop a roll out plan for products
  • Building needed dashboards that would reflect the project KPIs to top management

AUC conferences:

  • Increase adoption by marketing for the tool and increasing awareness about the digitalization of events and how it is the new trend when it comes to academic events
  • Increase adoption by identifying key academic events and pursuing the stakeholders responsible to pitch the app
  • Train users on using the admin panel and on how to manage the app during events
  • Be there on the ground with the users during their first events to make sure the operations are smooth

AUC Coin:

  • Monitor outlet performance and create bimonthly reports about the usage and adoption
  • Update lists of users frequently to ensure all active staff, students and faculty has access to the AUC Coin
  • Troubleshoot user issues with the help of pay mob team
  • Increase adoption by identifying marketing opportunities and using them, e.g. FYP AUC Coin vouchers
  • Troubleshoot on-the-ground issues with the outlets and train/help them when needed with the help of pay mob team
  • Identify further opportunities where AUC Coin could be useful and enhance the experience

Journey mapping:

  • Benchmarking activities to stay updated to what peer universities are doing when it comes to journey mapping exercises
  • Building the stakeholders map
  • Building the generic student journey
  • Identifying personas to be able to map the journey for each one individually
  • Meeting with different stakeholders to get their feedback and further enhance in the mapping process

AUC navigation:

  • Handle communication between KNS and ES and make sure technical discussions are run smoothly
  • Manage deliverables with KNS to ensure timeliness
  • Continuously testing navigation feature on mobile app and touchscreens to identify any needed enhancements/fixes to be reported back to KNS
  • Handle all communications currently between KNS and planning, design and construction AUC team
  • Manage the assembly, maintenance, testing and operations of touchscreens on campus with the help of citystars construction team
  • Manage any communications between KNS and citystars construction

AUC Covid-19 Testing and Tracing

  • Handle the development effort of the medical assessment forms, automated triggers and cascading results to AUC Dashboard on top of Google studio
  • Keeping abreast of new trends and best practices in the technology landscape
  • Handle the trainings needed to align stakeholders and end users on how to use the administrative tools needed to manage the products operations
  • Perform other duties as requested by direct supervisor

Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirement:  

  • University degree in computer science, engineering or related field

Experience:

  • Min 5 to 7 years’ experience with advanced technologies and technology tracking

  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and take initiative
