Senior Director, Tomorrow’s leaders (TL) Programs Coordinator (Grant Position)

Purpose: The holder of the position will perform a critical role in furthering the (TL) program’s mission and objectives through developing and managing partnerships with on and off-campus entities and maintaining communication with all stakeholders. The senior director of (TL) programs will be the point of contact with Middle Eastern Partnership Initiative (MEPI) and the U.S. embassy. The incumbent will work closely with Principal Investigator (PIs) for the four programs (TL) undergraduate (TLU), TL graduate (TLG), TL gender scholars (TLS), TL college-to-work pipeline (TLP), and TL alumni) to achieve the highest level of collaboration, synergy and visibility. She/he will also work with different AUC departments to ensure that all (TL) programs are provided with the needed support for their implementation.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact with(MEPI) and the U.S. embassy
  • Oversee programmatically all (TL) programs at AUC (TL undergraduate (TLU), TL graduate (TLG), TL gender scholars (TLS), TL college-to-work pipeline (TLP), and TL alumni)
  • Work closely with Principal Investigator (PIs) for the four programs to achieve the highest level of collaboration and visibility
  • Guide and direct activities done in the different (TL) programs to maximize benefits to, and interactions between all (TL) students, regardless of their respective (TL) program
  • Strategically, lead all the (TL) programs and their implementation
  • Coordinate and liaise the (TL) activities among the different programs not only within AUC but also with the other universities as well
  • Monitor and review the monitoring and evaluation plans and the quarterly reports
  • Ensure synergies between the different programs
  • Support the overall management of the programs ensuring alignment of programs’ design and implementation with(MEPI’s) new vision; achievement of results, objectives; and providing overall technical oversight, and support to the (TL) scholars/beneficiaries
  • Explore new collaboration opportunities and work closely with the different TL and PIs to ensure efficient use of established programs and effective integration of the TL students in the AUC community
  • Oversee the program information management systems including collection and analysis of alumni data
  • Lead the TL steering committee comprised of the PIs for various TL programs for monitoring progress
  • Work closely with American University in Beirut (AUB) and Lebanese American University (LAU) coordinators to ensure synergy between various TL programs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned


Minimum Education Requirement:   

·Masters’ degree preferably in education, development, or psychology


  • Minimum 12 yearsof professional experience in management of externally funded projects including three-five years of experience in managing TL as executive director over TL Undergraduate (TLU) and/or TL Graduate (TLG)Experience in American collegial education systems.
