Dean of the School of Engineering and Computer Sciences

Global Academic Foundation (GAF) is a leading academic institution in the Arab Republic of Egypt operating under the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education in compliance with the International Branch Campus Law No. 162 of 2018.

The University of Hertfordshire hosted by GAF is the first full-fledged branch campus of a British university in Egypt that encompass all UH schools and bringing globally accredited Degrees from the UK to Egypt. All degree programmes offered at UH-GAF are validated by the University of Hertfordshire and quality assurance and enhancement mechanisms all mirror those at the University of Hertfordshire.  The University is growing rapidly and currently has thirteen undergraduate programmes all of which are developed with input from industry to ensure that our graduates are highly employable.

We are now seeking an outstanding individual to join us as Dean within the School of Engineering and Computer Sciences. Responsible to the Provost, you will be a key member of our Senior Executive Team and will contribute to the academic and corporate leadership of the University as we move forward with our Strategic Plan 2021-2026. You will provide visionary leadership for a School which currently offers 3 programmes validated by the University of Hertfordshire: BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering, BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics and BSc (Hons) Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence).  We have new state-of-the-art facilities and the role of Dean will be to ensure that UH-GAF’s reputation in engineering and computer sciences continues to increase, oversee the efficient and effective management of faculty resources and provides students in the School with an outstanding teaching and learning and research led environment.

You will have an excellent academic track record preferably with international experience, an inspirational leadership style and the energy to ensure the School of Engineering and Computer Sciences reaches its full potential. You will have proven ability to manage and motivate academic staff, deliver financial sustainability, and to drive forward engagement with a range of external stakeholders facilitating strategic partnerships and student internships.
