Job Description:

The American University in Cairo (AUC) and the Department of Law in the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) invite applications for a one year full time position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level on Comparative (public) Law, beginning February 2024. The successful applicant will hold a J.D./S.J.D./Ph.D. in Law by the date of appointment. The successful applicant will possess expertise in Comparative Law and Islamic Law, with an additional specialization in Comparative Constitutional Law strongly desirable.


Requirements:

Responsibilities include teaching graduate level courses in Comparative Law, with the possibility of electives in Comparative Constitutional Law  and Islamic Law depending on Department scheduling needs. In addition, the successful candidate will supervise graduate student dissertations and contribute through service to the Department, the School, and the University.
