Reports to: Director, Programs and Partnerships Department

Purpose: The purpose of the position is to develop, manage and promote training programs, seminars and courses to individuals and organizations to meet or exceed revenue projections. In addition, the job holder will oversee all customized grants and gifts and promote SCE/AUC as the major continuing education and training provider in Egypt.

Principal Accountabilities:

Planning:

  • Research, design and develop programs, workshops, seminars and courses according to market needs.
  • Plan and coordinate and oversee the grants and gifts programs and tutorials.
  • Prepare the annual program budget for approval by the department director, including both income and revenue projections as well as program cost effectiveness in terms of budget goals.
  • Develop new business growth strategies to increase the number of learners and clients by continuously improving existing programs, adding new areas of business training and establishing a customer database.
  • Constantly meet with potential and existing clients to ensure sustainability of educational offerings and revenues for current and future fiscal years.

Managing Program Delivery:

  • Schedule programs, workshops, seminars and courses.
  • Recruit, hire and orient qualified instructors in liaison with the department director and associate dean for instructional affairs.
  • Ensure the availability of the resources needed for effective and quality delivery such as textbooks, teaching materials, software, equipment and supplies.
  • Supervise the process of proposal, agreement and contract development ensuring that SCE and AUC standards and requirements are met.
  • Oversee the development and execution of training programs for AUC Gift Agreement sponsors in Cairo and across Egypt.
  • Coordinate activities and procedure development for grants with other offices of the University including Office of Sponsored Programs, Controller’s Office and Legal Office to ensure compatibility and to develop coordinated actions leading to greater overall program contribution to the School and the University.

Quality Assurance and Reporting:

  • Ensure that quality instruction is being offered throughout the program, by monitoring learners’ evaluation of instruction and regularly observing and evaluating instructors in accordance with SCE’s instructional standards and taking the appropriate action based on the results of the evaluation.
  • Prepares regular and on-demand reports about the programs activities, marketing strategies, challenges and successes based on evidence collected on the performance of the programs.
  • Travel to different cities across Egypt for program monitoring and evaluation of performance as well as setting of future action plans

Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirement :

Experience :

  • 10 years of experience in managing and marketing educational programs. Preferred experience in business development, education and/or customer relationship management.

Skills :

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to identify market opportunities and grow business volume.
  • Excellent English and Arabic language ability, both written and verbal.
  • Professional knowledge of Microsoft Windows and high knowledge of web surfing and internet usage.

Working Conditions :

  • Work is assigned in any AUC location
