Assistant Coordinator, Egypt COVID-19 Media Relief Project, Grant Position

Purpose: The job holder will provide administrative support and coordination services to the Egypt COVID-19 media relief project in offering a total of eight mini-professional diplomas on health and medical journalism, with specific reference to the coronavirus pandemic. The job holder will handle all administrative work of this program, offered by the Kamal Adham Center for Television and Digital Journalism and Facebook journalism project.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Work closely with associate director for professional development and the professional development team on the administration process of the grant
  • Draft contracts and paperwork for payments related to the project
  • Assist in website content and updates
  • Assist in contacting webinar panelists and moderators
  • Collect all required documents from panelist and moderators
  • Create, update and maintain a closed group on Facebook for participants, panelist and moderators
  • Post on the group all external resources shared by the panelists and reply to comments/inquiries on the group
  • Attend all webinars and be in charge of taking the meeting minutes to write the biweekly report
  • Create and send post-survey after each webinar to the participants
  • Integrate the results and findings of the post-surveys and visualize the data in the biweekly report
  • Issue and send certificates to the participants at the end of each mini diploma
  • Write biweekly progress report
  • Write press release for the media and AUC community
  • Assist in the marketing campaign of the grant
  • Assist in creating snippets and related posts on Facebook pages
  • Assist in the screening of application for journalists and write minutes
  • Maintain accurate and regularly updated statistics and vital information on students’ database system
  • Contribute to the annual reports as needed
  • Provide other administrative assistance as requested


Minimum Education Requirement:   

·BA in mass communication or related fields


·Three to five years of experience in the administration sector. Preferred experience in similar projects


·Excellent computer skills (MS Office)

·Excellent writing skills in English and Arabic language

·Strong communication skills to interact with a diverse population of students
