Teaching assistant for the Department of Economics

A teaching assistant position in the area of macroeconomics is available at the Department of Economics. We are interested in candidates holding a PhD in economics and with previous experience of teaching economics courses at university level.

The position is on a temporary part-time positions for a fixed term of three years with the possibility of two three-year extensions.

Duties 

  • Teaching exercise classes, both in person and online
  • Grading exams
  • Supervising/helping students

Qualifications 

The position normally requires a relevant master’s degree or equivalent. Teaching qualifications will be taken into consideration in the assessment. 

Terms of employment 

The appointment will be in accordance with the circular on hourly-paid teaching under the Ministry of Finance. The hours of work can vary according to needs in the individual semesters to a maximum of 780 hours per academic year. The new employee must be willing to take a pedagogical course arranged by CBS and participate in lecturer meetings.
