Student employee to Center for Health Data Science, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences

Center for Health Data Science (HeaDS) is looking to hire a student employee, starting from the 01-10-2022 or soon after, to assist with practical and administrative tasks.

About Center for Health Data Science:

The aim of Center for Health Data Science, launched in March 2020, is to strengthen data science research and use, at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. The Center will function as a hub for research groups throughout the Faculty to establish data science as a topic of research in its own right. The data science lab within the Center provides data science support for all research groups at SUND and will be in charge of courses to improve the data science skills of the biomedical researchers in-house. The long term goal of the Center is to house multiple research units, which will work on different areas and topics within the field of health data science.

The Center currently hosts 13 employees, six in the SUND data laboratory and the computational sandbox and seven in the research part of the Center. Our philosophy is a relaxed working environment driven by inspired and independent people.

Your personal competencies:

  • You are outgoing and good with people.
  • You are responsible
  • You are proficient in English. Speaking and/or understanding Danish is a plus.
  • You are flexible and interested in taking on different tasks. As HeaDS is a newly
    established Center our priorities and assignments may change, and you may have to familiarize yourself with new procedures as we go along.

Your tasks:

  • Assist with maintenance of our website.
  • Up-keep of mailing lists, and replies to inquires/questions about Center activities.
  • Send events to the Sund Indsigt newletter for advertisment
  • update our twitter account
  • Administration for courses such as preparing the course page on conference manager, emailing participants, room booking, ordering catering, sending out surveys and course material  
  • Helping out on course days in practical capacities.
  • Booking of rooms and catering for meetings etc, taking minutes at meetings.
  • Other ad hoc tasks

Terms of Employment:
Employment conditions will be in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Organizations of Public Employees –governmental institutions (the OAO-S collective agreement) under HK/STAT. Your salary will be based on seniority.
Varying working hours is to be expected, but the average working hours is 10-15 hours per week. The employment is conditioned on documentation for active enrollment at a University or similar.
