Student Assistants for Center for Business and Development Studies (CBDS) at the Department of Management, Society and Communication, CBS at Copenhagen Business School
The Centre for Business and Development Studies (CBDS) is an interdisciplinary research centre established in 2005 and is today recognized as one of the leading research environments on business and development studies. We carry out critical, engaged and theoretically-driven research on the roles of business, government and civil society in promoting inclusive and sustainable development in the global South.
CBDS feeds research-based teaching into the MSc programme on Business and Development Studies, which trains students to think critically and operate ethically in business and other professional realms. The Centre also provides expertise to policy makers, business, industry associations and civil society groups.
As a student assistant, you will assist the CBDS Centre Manager and the two Academic Directors, but it is possible to take on extra tasks to gain an insight into different areas of the department and even across CBS.
The tasks will differ but will include:
- Updating website & blog, maintaining our social media channels and other communication tasks
- Planning smaller events and conferences
- Research assistance
- General administrative support

Candidates who has at least one year left of their education is preferred.
Relevant candidates should also be enrolled as a student at a higher education institution and be prepared to commit to the position for a minimum of one year.

Salary and terms of employment
You will be employed at Copenhagen Business School according to the joint agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Public Employees' Unions (HK-organisationsaftalen) and Fællesoverenskomsten between Finansministeriet and Offentligt Ansatte Organisationer (OAO-S Fællesoverenskomsten).
The salary is between kr. 127 and kr. 133 and is determined by previous occupation in office work and level of education. Pension will be paid if there has been 9 months of previous employment in the public sector, you are 20 years old or had pension in a previous employment. The pension contribution amounts to 11,19% of the pay eligible for pension.
Working hours: 7,5 - 10 hours per week
