At DTU Mechanical Engineering, we have recently started a new project supported by the Industry Foundation, which will expand the current MATChE platform (www.matche.dk) to six other positions in the value chain. In particular focus for this project are the enhancement and further development of the usability of and the user experience of the platform, particularly as we expand its scope, over the coming years.

Responsibilities and qualifications
You should be highly motivated and self-driven, as well as have a strong work ethic, team spirit and excellent collaboration skills.

As a formal qualification, you must have a Masters degree in engineering or equivalent within the areas of design, digital design, interactive technologies, computer science, UX design, and related areas.

Your envisioned responsibilities during the project include, but are not limited to:

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the current UX (user experience) of www.matche.dk and identify improvement opportunities through user testing of the platform
  • Develop UX plan for the expansion of the MATChE platform to other positions in the value chain, with an updated visual brand identity
  • Develop and maintain design wireframes (basic mock-ups of applications) and specifications for software development
  • Define interaction models, user task flows, and UI (user interface) specifications
  • Communicate scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, and screen designs to the project partners at DTU and partner companies

Good command of written and spoken English and Danish are required. Furthermore, experience with industrial manufacturing companies and the topic of Circular Economy are desirable.

Strong collaboration with the project partners (incl. industry associations, consultancies, users) and the software developer is expected during the project.

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.

The period of employment is 2 years. The expected starting date is as soon as possible, latest January 2022.
