The School of Communication and Culture invites applications for the post of research assistant (

videnskabelig assistent

) within the field of International Business Communication in English at the Department of English.

The term of appointment is 1 August 2023 to 31 July 2024. The workload is 37 hours per week.

The position of research assistant is a fixed-term academic position, for which the main responsibilities are teaching and examinations. The successful applicant will have access to excellent library facilities and will be welcome to engage with the local research community, but there will be no hours allotted to research in the contract of employment.

The position

The person appointed to this position will be required to teach and examine courses in the

BA

and

MA

degree programmes in International Business Communication in English. The courses in question will cover

Corporate Communication & PR

,

BA projects

,

Organisational Communication

,

Internal Communication

,

Web-based Communication

, and a Research Topic course.

A minor part of the appointee’s worktime is allotted to professional development as well as participation in staff and teaching-team meetings, as well as relevant administrative work at the Department. The position requires regular presence at the Department. Office facilities will be provided.


Qualifications

Applicants must hold an academic degree in English, Business Communication, or a related field at master’s degree level or higher. Applicants should demonstrate relevant qualifications within international business communication, corporate communication, social interaction, identity, online communication, and project supervision. All teaching takes place in English, and applicants must therefore have a native or near-native level of English language proficiency. Preference will be given to applicants with recent teaching experience within the specific areas mentioned.
