We seek a project engineer for the DTU-ESA Spherical Near-Field Antenna Test Facility who will undertake maintenance and development tasks as well as measurement projects in internal and external co-operations. Experience with near-field antenna measurement techniques is required.

The job
The job contains a multitude of specific maintenance and development tasks ranging from archiving, communication and documentation through instrument organization and procurements to numerical investigations and experimental tests. These tasks support the running co-operation with ESA. Also, the job contains the participation to, and with time the undertaking of, spherical near-field antenna measurements in close co-operation with internal and external partners from academia and industry in Denmark and abroad. Finally, the job contains participation to teaching activities in antenna measurements. The job will include training for the theory and practice of the measurement techniques and procedures employed at the DTU-ESA Facility.

The position refers to the Head of the DTU-ESA Facility.

Candidates should hold a MSc in the field of electromagnetic systems and have documented experience in undertaking near-field antenna measurements and participating to project work. Furthermore, we require the qualifications to work diligently and systematically and to make constructive individual contributions to close teamwork.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations. Starting date is 1 July 2017.

The Electromagnetic Systems group at the Department of Electrical Engineering covers areas of fundamental importance for modern wireless communication and sensing systems. These include electromagnetic field theory as well as microwave antenna, component, and circuit technology. The Electromagnetic Systems group is internationally recognized in these areas and the research is carried out in close collaboration with partners from national and international academia and industry. The Electromagnetic Systems group operates the DTU-ESA Spherical Near-Field Antenna Test Facility in close cooperation with the European Space Agency ESA.
