We are looking for an experienced Program Director for our Executive MBA program. You will be responsible for planning, delivery, and the overall success of the program. You will be part of a high-performing team and our shared goal is to ensure that every cohort is delivered successfully and adds the highest possible value to the participants, faculty, and the organization.

DTU Learn for Life
DTU Learn for Life is the cross-university center coordinating, developing, and running executive and continuing education programs at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) at the Lyngby Campus.

The center is a central focal point for a new strategic investment in relation to executive and continuing education and lifelong learning. DTU Learn for Life is DTU's platform for all forms of future management education and specialized continuing education based on technology, sustainability, and innovation. A showcase for DTU's teaching and research, which reaches out widely to businesses, authorities, and organizations both in Denmark and in the world.

At DTU Learn for Life, we promote and run programs for employees, specialists, leaders, directors, and C-levels to drive change in their companies and organizations as well as in society as a whole. We want to deliver world class executive and continuing education to the business world as well as to private and public organizations.

The DTU Executive MBA Program
The DTU Executive MBA, also called Master in Management of Technology (MMT), is an intensive 2-year master’s program. We enroll participants with academic and professional credentials for a program that has a deep impact not only on the participant’s own professional development, but also on the company in which the participant is working. The DTU Executive MBA is accredited by the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science as well as AMBA, the Association of MBAs, and our 25th cohort will graduate this coming June.

Responsibilities
The Program Director is responsible of planning and execution, recruitment and admissions, development and implementation, participant and faculty relations as well as the overall successful delivery of the Executive MBA Program. Responsibilities include planning and running international study trips (e.g. to Silicon Valley) as well as various events and graduation. Executive MBA classes take place fortnightly on Fridays and Saturdays.

Essential functions

  • Pursuing the goals of the Executive MBA program according to the strategic objectives
  • Collaborating with marketing team to brand and market the DTU Executive MBA program online and offline, amongst corporations, DTU alumni and professional networks
  • Recruiting high caliber student cohorts each year
  • Overseeing and enhancing the overall participant experience - in line with participant expectations and university policy
  • Working closely with faculty and encouraging faculty involvement in the program
  • Collaborating with the participants’ companies and the sponsors within those companies
  • Maintaining a close collaboration with the alumni organization and industry board
  • Working with Head of Studies making sure the program follows internal and external quality and accreditation standards
  • Ensuring smooth day-to-day operations together with Program Coordinators and Heads of Studies
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure professional operations that complies with internal processes

With direct reference to the Head of Executive Education, you will work closely together as well as with colleagues within the Executive MBA program team.

An experienced Program Director
We are looking for a seasoned profile with masters’ degree-level education (preferably MBA degree), and a strong track-record in business education or higher education, as program director or program manager position. You have a strong business background and preferably experience from private sector companies.  You have substantial experience in marketing and sales, and commercial expertise with strategic abilities. You have excellent organizational skills within program management, complex projects, problem-solving, and negotiation. You have outstanding language and communication skills at a group and individual levels.

  • Continue to monitor performance and prioritize the needs for improvements
  • Value ethical leadership principles, technology, innovation, and sustainability as core elements of a future-proof MBA program
  • Self-starter and take ownership of issues within your mandate

Salary and terms of employment
Terms of appointment and payment according to the Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Federation of Professional Associations (AC) or any other relevant agreement.
