Deadline: 27 Jan 2023

A postdoc position is immediately available in the team of Associate Professor Paolo Ceppi at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Southern Denmark. Application deadline: 27 January 2023.

The research group uses various molecular and cell biology techniques, advanced mouse models, bioinformatics and high-throughput technologies to unravel novel fundamental mechanisms that govern the plasticity of cancer cells in solid tumours, with a special focus on metabolic pathways. The ultimate goal of our projects is to develop innovative anticancer therapies and strategies to combat aggressive cancers. We are a diverse and dynamic international work environment, located in the SDU Main Campus in Odense, Denmark.

Candidates with prior knowledge and expertise in bioinformatics and basic computational methods for cancer research will be prioritized. Furthermore you should have:
• Excellence and publications in bioinformatics applied to complex biological systems and human disease.
• Hands-on experience in mouse experiments.
• Minimum two publications in high quality peer-reviewed journals, and at least one as a first author in a high-quality journal.
• Fluency in oral and written English.

The position is for two years, but could be extended based on performance. The postdoc is expected (and will receive significant support) to attract external funding, to work independently, and to participate in other projects from the lab
