The Section for Theoretical High Energy Physics and Cosmology at the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen announces an opening for a two year postdoctoral position, with a possible extension by a third year, starting in the Fall of 2022.  

The position is funded by the DFF research project  “Defects and Duality in Quantum Field Theory” directed by Prof. Charlotte Kristjansen.  

Applicants are expected to have an excellent knowledge of and strong research background in modern developments in quantum field theory, holography and string theory as well as an interest in integrability.

The postdoc’s duties will include research within theoretical high energy physics. The post may also include performance of other duties.

Terms of employment

The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.

Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.

Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
