Postdoc in Quantum Optics at the Niels Bohr Institute

Applications are invited for the postdoctoral position at the QUANTOP center in the field of generation of entangled optical fields and their application to measurements beyond the standard quantum limit. The project is aimed at demonstration of quantum noise reduction in a hybrid system involving an atomic spin ensemble as the means to achieve improved sensitivity in interferometric gravitational wave detection. Experience with generation of entangled light is required. Experience within atomic physics is a plus.

The postdoc’s duties will include research within Quantum Optics as well as teaching. The post may also include performance of other duties.

Terms of employment
The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.

Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.

Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
