Postdoc in Molecular Biology/Protein Chemistry

In a project financed by the Villum Experiment program we aim at Tayloring yeast cells for production of human membrane proteins for the purpose of structural biology.
The postdoc’s duties will include research within molecular biology and protein chemistry. The post may also include performance of other duties.

Experience with the following issues will be an advantage:
- Recombinant DNA technology in yeast
- Computer controlled fermentation of yeast on a pilot plant scale
- Production of recombinant membrane proteins in yeast
- Knowledge to detergents and their use in membrane protein purification
- Purification of membrane proteins by IMAC and other chromatographic techniques
- Experience with university level teaching

The position is open from January 1st 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter. 

Terms of employment
The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.
Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
The starting salary is currently up to DKK 434.179 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 74.244). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
