The research topics of the position include:
• Electrical and thermal model development based on Finite Element Multiphysics (FEM) models of Lithium-based battery cells and modules.
• Lithium cell performance characterization and structural/material analysis to extract key parameters for accurate model development
• FEM based analysis of existing cell/module design
• Diagnostics of Lithium-based battery cells’ state of health for thermal performance assessment.
• Design of battery modules targeted for specific applications identified in the SENSE project.

Experience with building up detailed models in Finite Element Multiphysics Software as well as hands-on experience with battery cell characterization is an advantage.
The successful candidate should demonstrate a high publication record in top international journals and strong research activities within ideally all the above mentioned research fields
