A postdoctoral position is available in the group of Professor Blagoy Blagoev at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Southern Denmark, Odense. Invited are applications from outstanding candidates with a keen interest in applying mass spectrometry-based proteomics to understand the molecular basis underlying cell signaling. The position is for one to three years with a possibility for extension.

The qualified applicant should hold a PhD degree and documented background in Protein Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related. Documented expertise with protein mass spectrometry is compulsory. Experience with bioinformatics/ computational data analysis aspects of quantitative proteomics will be greatly valued. Additional experience with large-scale analysis of post-translational modifications would be of further advantage.

The successful applicant will primarily use quantitative proteomic approaches to study protein-protein interactions and post-translational modifications such as phosphorylation and ubiquitination, in regard to regulation of mammalian signaling networks. The position focuses mainly on successfully funded projects, without excluding the possibility of the candidates to work on additional research projects of interest.
