We are seeking an ambitious Network Coordinator who will be part of the Communications Team at Centre for Oil and Gas - DTU.

The centre
Centre for Oil and Gas – DTU is a research centre mainly financed by the industrial partners from DUC (“Dansk Undergrunds Consortium”), responsible for extraction of oil and gas in the Danish part of the North Sea. Therefore, it is important that you are ready to take up the challenge of communicating with our close collaboration partners in the oil and gas industry as well as with stakeholders in academia and the broader public. The pivotal point of our narrative is how Centre for Oil and Gas – DTU contributes to the energy transition.

The centre is a partnership between five academic institutions (DTU, KU, AAU, AU, and GEUS). We are located at DTU Lyngby Campus and conduct scientific research and technological innovation with the purpose of application in the Danish North Sea oil and gas industry; this includes increased oil recovery, efficiency, environmental footprint, and Carbon Storage.

The job
You will be working closely together with the Head of Communication and other employees, building network, and communicating the centre’s research and technology solutions.

Not two days will be the same. You will be organising events, both physical and virtual, as well as working on many different tasks in internal and external communication.

You will have independent responsibility for several tasks:

  • Creating and publishing content on the centre’s web site and intranet
  • Editing internal and external newsletters
  • Creating content for and updating SoMe platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram)
  • Mobile phone video production (we edit in PremierePro)

The Communication Team organises an annual Technology Conference as well as internal employee seminars; you will play a key role in these assignments.

We also support the Management Team and colleagues in building and maintaining relations with cooperation partners.

Our expectations of you
You have a relevant academic education (cand.comm or similar) and 1-2 years of experience from a similar position. You have good knowledge about and a keen interest in the oil and gas sector, preferably focused on the Danish part of the North Sea.

It is preferred that you have thorough experience with content management in Sitecore.

The ideal candidate has experience with planning and organising events, from small webinars to large conferences.

Centre for Oil and Gas – DTU employs many different nationalities who work in a variety of research fields. Hence, you must possess an international mindset and the ability to navigate in an environment of different cultures.

It is vital that you have excellent communication skills in both written and oral English and Danish.

You thrive and have fun, regardless of whether the assignment is to get the small details in a text right, organising an ideation workshop for our Programme Managers, or playing your part in developing the research centre’s narrative and communication strategy.

Salary and employment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations.
