We are looking for an experienced engineer to design and construct a CO2 capture facility.

The ConsenCUS project is a large Horizon 2020 project with 19 international partners. AT-CERE plays an important role in the project, as we will coordinate the demonstration of the technologies. Electricity driven carbon capture and utilization technologies have been developed in the Netherlands. AT-CERE will coordinate the construction of a container-sized demonstration facility. We will also operate the facility at three different locations in EU: Greece, Denmark and Romania.

Some systems for the demonstration facility will be produced locally at DTU. Others will be sourced from external parties.

The job
The tasks are collaborative and include:

  • Overall architecture of the demonstration facility
  • PFD / P&ID design finalization
  • Detailed construction plan – what do to ourselves – what to source
  • Sourcing of parts and services
  • Coordination of parts assembly and testing
  • Input for FAT and SAT procedures
  • Input for HAZOP

Our expectations of you

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience
  • 3D design and layout of complete system
  • Design of steel platforms, tanks, heaters, reactors
  • Choice and purchase of valves, fittings, measurement equipment, pumps
  • Hands-on with parts assembly and welding
  • A team player who voices concerns up front
  • Fluent Danish and English

The expected start is 1 January 2022 and for a period of 4 years.

The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus. Extended stays at Denmark (Aalborg), Greece and Romania must be expected in the period of late 2023 to early 2025 to oversee installation, commissioning and operation.
