Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship (CSE) at Copenhagen Business School is searching for a Head of Development to expand CSE’s foundation of external projects into a new horizon of world-leading entrepreneurship programs.

Here at CSE, our programs encompass exploration and ideation, incubation and business development through to bespoke, pre-seed support.

As the Head of Development you will primarily focus on building relationships with external foundations and corporate partners, identifying prime opportunities to develop novel, tailored program offerings that transform society through business.

Reporting to the Director of CSE, this role is a significant profile in developing the strategic vision of CSE. They will work closely with colleagues to curate new offerings across research, education, incubation and acceleration and be a key contributor to long-range strategic projects.

Does it sound like you are our Head of Development?

As Head of Development, you will be responsible for:

  • Expanding CSE’s fundraising strategy with a focus on major projects and strategic programs.
  • Identifying programmatic growth opportunities for external fundraising in partnership with CSE colleagues, with a focus on supporting impact, leadership, early hires and business competencies.
  • Fundraising for new mutually beneficial activities across the Danish and Nordic entrepreneurial centers, and essentially support the scaling power of Danish entrepreneurs.
  • Working with CBS departments, such as the Research Support Office (RSO), CBS Legal, Lifelong Learning and academic departments to scope feasibility of emergent opportunities.
  • Exploring projects within venture fund creation and major capital works projects
  • Supporting the entrepreneurial perspective on education and research policy
  • Oversee implementation and relationship management for major externally-funded projects including budget reconciliation, distribution of tasks, assessment and reporting.
  • Supporting founders in identifying and preparing for relevant financing opportunities with a special focus in national, Nordic and EU pools, and possible industrial partnerships.
  • Secretary for CBS Startup Board, overseeing governance and delivery of CBS Startup Competition annually.

Experience, qualifications and personal skills

  • Experience writing advanced grant applications and going through fundraising processes.
  • Knowledge about the Danish research and innovation system.
  • Speaks and writes fluent Danish and English.
  • Structured and experienced project manager with proficiency in project budgetting.
  • Ability to work in an innovative and flexible environment.
  • Is proficient in reaching out to new people, stakeholder management and networking.
  • Has solid social and communicative skills.

Period of Employment

The position is fulltime, situated at Porcelænshaven 26.

Prior to your appointment you will have the opportunity to negotiate your salary. Employment and salary will be in accordance between the Danish Union of Commercial and Clerical Employees and the Ministry of Finance (OAO-S-fælles overenskomsten). Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
