Do you have solid offshore industrial experience or experience within geophysical technologies? Then you might be the Technology Maturation Advisor that we are looking for at DTU Offshore - Danish Offshore Technology Centre. 

The job 
As responsible for supporting ongoing and new projects at Danish Offshore Technology Center / DTU Offshore as geophysics specialist with an industry background, you will play a central role in the centre’s research and innovation activities aimed at reducing the environmental impact of offshore activities. 

You will work part time, one day a week and be part of the Portfolio Management group, a team of 12-14 experienced industry professionals. The team manages nine research programmes and facilitates cross-disciplinary and industrial collaboration to support maturation of the research towards industrial application. 

As Geophysicist Technology Maturation Advisor, you will be responsible for the following key elements:

  • Work with researchers and industrial partners on the line-of-sight and transfer of projects to industrial application 
  • Work closely with technical specialists in the Technology Maturation team to ensure technical relevance of programmes and to evaluate and approve new research proposals
  • Support researchers by providing technical expertise, industry perspective, relevant data, and contacts guide projects towards clearly defined goals
  • Drive industry and academic collaboration including transfer of results and technology to industry
  • Research of selected topics aligned with DTU Offshore projects 
  • Facilitate collaboration between Research Leads across the partner institutions
  • Engage actively with DTU Offshore’s key stakeholders within industry, partner institutions, industry organizations, authorities etc, to promote strong relationships, stay abreast of industrial movements and identify potential activities and projects. 

Our expectations of you
The ideal candidate should be a recognized professional with academic credentials and significant offshore industrial experience. Moreover, the preferred candidate will have the following characteristics:

  • A relevant M.Sc. in Geophysics
  • Deep understanding of geophysical methods and the use of them in offshore industries
  • Innovative skills and a creative mind-set for support of the research environments, new technologies and their implementation
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills based on a solid understanding of various stakeholder interests
  • Ability to navigate and oscillate freely between academic and business environments

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). You are employed as an Senior Executive Officer.

The position is a part-time position, working 1 day a week, with start July 1st 2023.

The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus, with flexible work hours and possibility for working from home part of the time.
