Administrative Project Manager for the European Horizon 2020 Project "REFLOW"

The Department of Operations Management at Copenhagen Business School (CBS) invites applications for one fulltime project administrator linked to the European Horizon 2020 project “REFLOW” (constRuctive mEtabolic processes For material flOWs in urban and peri-urban environments across Europe).

REFLOW has 28 European partners and is led by CBS (project leader and overall coordinator is Associate Professor Cristiana Parisi).

REFLOW project mission is to support the development of cities that are regenerative and adopt circular economy (CE) practices, through the de-localisation of production and the reconfiguration of material flows. REFLOW will explore CE innovation using a digital and physical network of makerspaces and other grass-root organisations in six pilot cities: Amsterdam, Berlin, Cluj-Napoca, Milan, Paris, and Vejle. The project provides guidance for public and private sector organizations on how to create favourable conditions for the adoption of CE practices.

Support the Project Leader and the researchers involved in REFLOW with the management of the project, the communication with project partners and the preparation of deliverables. More specifically, the tasks will include:

  • Supporting the Project Leader in the communication between all internal and external stakeholders
  • Preparation of deliverables, technical interim and final reports
  • Having the overall financial overview of the project's budget and carrying out ongoing financial follow -up on the expenses of the project in collaboration with CBS’ project administration
  • Supporting the development, organization and coordination of the project’s workshops and seminars
  • Management of the dissemination initiatives and events
  • Monitoring the overall progress regarding milestones and deliverables
  • Operationalisation and timing of the project activities


  • Solid experience with project management and administration preferably with Horizon 2020 projects
  • The ability to engage in business-oriented collaboration activities with the project partners
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • A relevant academic education at Master's level, preferably in Business Administration (or related subject areas such as Economics, Finance and Accounting). Alternatively, in Sustainable Design, Environmental Assessment and/or Circular Economy

Recruitment takes place according to agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). The employment is a full time position (37 hours per week) based at the Department of Operations Management, CBS. Your employment and physical placement will be at the Department of Operations Management (OM) at Solbjerg Plads, Frederiksberg. While your immediate supervisor will be Head of Secretariat Birte Lundgreen, you will be working closely together with the REFLOW Project leader and team, where your daily activities and work tasks in the project will be decided by the REFLOW Project leader.

Period: July 2021 to 31 July 2022.
