The Q-MAT center
In conjunction with the upcoming neutron scattering facility, European Spallation Source (ESS) a center with joint efforts toward magnetism and quantum materials has been established having University of Copenhagen as the central hub. Main focus areas are preparation, characterization and modelling of new materials with focus on electronic structure, magnetic and electric properties. The center encompasses more than 40 researchers from 6 major Danish research institutions. The advertised position is in a field, central for the lighthouse, but new at the department. It is intended as a strong interdisciplinary position bridging chemistry and condensed matter physics. You will be engaged in high-quality publications, grant procurement and experimental outreach in collaboration with other researchers at the Department of Chemistry and in the Q-MAT center.
