Do you want to help reduce the use of antibiotics in the pig farming industry using statistics and data science? The Faculty of Engineering and Science, Department of Mathematical Sciences, offers a Postdoc position within statistics starting 1 February 2024 or soon thereafter. The position will be based at Aalborg University’s campus in Aalborg and will have a duration of 2 years.
The two year postdoc position is part of the research project “PIG-PARADIGM – research into the intestinal resilience of piglets” (see https://novonordiskfonden.dk/en/projects/pig-paradigm-research-into-the-intestinal-resilience-of-piglets/ ) funded by Novo Nordisk Foundation. Several national and international research institutions are a part of the project.
Biomarker candiates of pig robustness and pig gut antimicrobial resistome have been discovered in other studies in the PIG-PARADIGM project. The aim of this Postdoc project is to refine the candiate set by identifying and validating consistent (i.e. reproducible) biomarkers for pig robustness and pig gut antimicrobial resistome.
