SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR THE POSITION OF DIRECTOR OF WORKPLACE

Council of the Institute of Animal Physiology and Genetics CAS (IAPG CAS) opens a selection procedure for the position of Director of Workplace.

Requirements:

• full legal capacity1)

• certificate of no-criminal records and no-sanctions within the meaning of Section 17 (4) (b) and (c) of Act No. 341/2005 Sb., on Public Research Institutions, as amended,

• university education and postgraduate scientific qualification in the fields of research activities of the workplace (biology, biochemistry, biomedicine and related fields)

• scientific background in one of the main fields of the research activities of the workplace,

• at least 5 years of experience with organization and management of scientific work,

• active knowledge of English, additional language skills are an advantage,

• moral integrity,

• compliance with conditions under Act No. 451/1991 Sb., which lays down certain other criteria for performance of some offices in state bodies and organizations of the Czech and Slovak Federative Republic, the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic, as amended (does not apply to applicants who are not citizens of the Czech Republic).

The Director of Workplace must not be a member of the management or control bodies of legal entities conducting business and must not be involved in business of legal entities operating in the area that is the subject of the activities of the workplace. This restriction does not apply to the management of own assets (Section 17 (6) of Act No. 341/2005 Sb.).

Anticipated term of the office: 1. 5. 2022 – 30. 4. 2027

Applications and annexes thereto must be submitted in writing in Czech or English language. Anticipated salary EUR 2,500-3000.

  • documents proving your university education and completion of your scientific qualification,
  • an overview of your past work experience,
  • a list of major scientific papers and publications,
  • a draft policy of the workplace management and a vision of a future course of its activities, including further development of the workplace (in a scope of three to five standard pages),
  • an official copy of the criminal records issued no longer than 3 months prior to the application
  • an affidavit of moral integrity pursuant to Section 17 (4) (c) of Act No. 341/2005 Sb.1) .

  • 1) Candidates who are not citizens of the Czech Republic shall present an affidavit proving compliance with the conditions under 17 (4) of Act no. 341/2005 Sb.

    Compliance of the conditions under Act No. 451/1991 Sb. shall be documented by the candidate to the President of the CAS by the day of his/her appointment to the office of the Director of Workplace at the latest.
