Currently we offer 1 post-doctoral (postdoc) research position on the following topic, supported by the EU Operational Program Research, Development and Education and the Czech state budget.

Job position: Participation in the mobility Nr.1 - Work-stays of Post-docs from Abroad in the Czech Republic

Field of research:

The research in the field of biomaterials and surface engineering is important part of bio-medical sciences for human prosthetics for dental and bone reconstruction area. The hydroxyapatite coatings design with antibacterial modification preparation on various base-surfaces and characterization are required for further application.

Detailed description of the research:

The research in frame of post-doc position will include physico-chemical synthesis of apatite ceramics in laboratory with semi-clean rooms, modification of the materials using various techniques and characterization using structural and chemical analytical methods. Therefore materials science and chemical process design engineering skills are required. Specialist in field of chemical surface modifications and chemical process design should know the characterization and testing methods of prepared ceramic coating. Basic structural analysis as XRD and FTIR, and additionally TG or DSC should be familiar for adept.

The post doc work plan will consist of all basic scientific approaches to new ceramic material development. Designing of new ceramic materials with superior properties for chemical, biocompatible and friction parameters is expected. The results of post-doc work will be published in professional journals.
