NFT Valuations is seeking a seasoned Senior Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team. This integral role involves enhancing our valuation models for millions of NFTs that span collectibles, virtual land, and algorithmically generated art pieces. Your work will involve handling both structured (historical data aggregations and token metadata) and unstructured (sparse time series and image extracted) data to develop innovative statistical models for time series and tabular data that will drive product features and improve product quality. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our agile team of product managers and developers to design, build, evaluate, launch, and refine product features through robust ML algorithm development.
  • Use comprehensive business requirement analyses to devise innovative statistical models for time series and tabular data.
  • Work closely with our data strategy team to identify and integrate new datasets that enhance our product capabilities.
  • Partner with our engineering team to strategize and implement the development of data products.
  • Extract patterns and insights from structured and unstructured data sources to meet our application needs.
  • Perform data and error analysis to optimize models and clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy.
  • Contribute to optimization and tooling efforts to elevate product quality. 

Skills & Requirements

  • Ideally minimum three years of proven experience in data science/machine learning.
  • Solid experience applying clustering and financial time-series algorithms for supervised and semi-supervised learning problems.
  • Proficiency in agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and rapid prototyping.
  • Expertise in maintaining end-to-end machine-learning pipelines.
  • Experience with databases (MySQL, Redshift, No-SQL).
  • Proficiency in Python for data science/machine learning.
  • BSc degree in computer science, a relevant discipline, or equivalent certification.
  • Superior problem-solving skills and the ability to think algorithmically.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Fluent communication in English. 

Additional Qualifications Considered Advantageous

  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Experience with ETL for feature extraction.
  • Prior experience with ensemble learning.
  • Hands-on experience with CatBoost/LightGBM and PyTorch.
  • Experience with or a keen interest in the blockchain and NFT field.
